[ What we build ]

The shapes bespoke software usually takes.

Web applications

Full browser-based applications that replace spreadsheets, paperwork and duct-taped tools - built to handle your real workload, not a demo.

Client portals

Secure portals where your customers log in, see their own data and get things done - so your team stops fielding update emails.

APIs and integrations

APIs that connect your systems to each other and to third parties, with sensible error handling for the days when something upstream breaks.

Internal dashboards

Live dashboards that pull your numbers into one place, so decisions come from data rather than a hunch and three spreadsheet exports.

Process automation

Software that takes over the repetitive work - invoicing runs, report generation, data entry - and does it the same way every time.

Legacy rebuilds

Careful, staged rebuilds of ageing systems. We keep the business logic that works and retire the parts that hold you back.

[ How it works ]

Four steps, no surprises.

01

Discovery call

Free, no obligation

A straightforward conversation about what you're trying to do and whether we can genuinely help.

02

Scope and quote

Within one working day

A written scope with a fixed quote - what we'll build, what it costs and how long it takes.

03

Build in stages

You see progress weekly

Short stages with working software you can try as we go, so there are no surprises at the end.

04

Launch and support

We stay after go-live

We handle deployment, monitor the launch and stay on hand once your team is using it for real.

[ In plain terms ]

Custom software development, done properly.

Custom software development means building an application around the way your business actually works, rather than bending your process to fit an off-the-shelf product. At Graeyna we design, build and support bespoke web applications, client portals, APIs and internal tools for UK businesses - taking projects from a first conversation through scoping, staged development and launch, with testing and documentation treated as part of the job rather than an optional extra.

Off-the-shelf software is the right answer more often than most agencies will admit, and we'll tell you when it is. Bespoke development earns its keep when the software sits close to how you make money: when licence fees scale painfully with your team, when the business runs on spreadsheets only one person understands, or when an existing product almost fits but the workarounds are costing real hours every week.

Everything we build is yours. You own the source code and the intellectual property outright, the system integrates with the tools you already rely on, and it's engineered to be maintained - by us, or by any competent developer you choose to work with later. That is what makes custom software a long-term asset rather than another subscription.

What you receive

  • Full source code ownership - it's yours, with no licence fees and no lock-in.

  • Documentation - the kind your next developer will thank you for.

  • A staging environment - and a clean, repeatable deployment process.

  • Honest advice - including when NOT to build.

“Prompt communication, real attention to detail, and a website we're extremely pleased with. Highly recommended.”

[ Questions ]

Asked before every build.

Most of our projects land between six and sixteen weeks, depending on scope. Smaller internal tools can ship in three to four weeks, while larger platforms are broken into staged releases so you get working software early rather than waiting months for a big reveal. You'll have a realistic timeline in the written scope before anything is committed.

Yes - most projects involve connecting to something you already run, whether that's an accounts package, a CRM or an industry-specific platform. If a system has an API we can usually integrate with it directly, and where one doesn't we'll be upfront about the options and their trade-offs before you spend anything.

You do. Once the work is paid for, the source code, the database and the intellectual property belong to your business outright. There are no ongoing licence fees for the software itself and nothing stopping another developer taking it over later - though we'd rather you stayed because you want to.

We don't disappear at go-live. Every build includes a warranty period for fixes, and most clients move onto a light support arrangement covering monitoring, security patching and small improvements. If you'd rather maintain it in-house, the documentation and handover are written for exactly that.

Usually, yes. We start with a paid review of the codebase so you get an honest written assessment of its state before committing to anything bigger. Sometimes the right answer is to stabilise and improve what's there; occasionally it's a staged rebuild - and we'll tell you which, with reasons.

Fixed price against a written scope for defined builds, or a day rate for ongoing and exploratory work. Either way you see the cost before we start, and if the scope changes mid-project we re-quote the difference rather than quietly billing it. We'll also tell you early if your budget and your ambitions don't match.

Tell us what you're trying to build.

We'll give you a straight answer on scope, cost and timescale - and honest advice if we're not the right fit.
